Easter Inspiration from Christmas!

Okay, so as if my Monday post catching everyone up on what I did for Valentine's Day wasn't bad enough, I have to let you in on what I did for Christmas gifts for friends and faculty here at HCHC.

They were too cute not to share! (and now that I finally have a cable to upload my pictures again, I've got to make up for all that lost time ;) )

The project started with plain white glassine bags that I bought from a local bakery (for only $0.10 each!) and paper in red and pool from Paper Source! The extras included white ink and clear embossing powder, silver ribbon, a silver pen, and a hole-punch. Oh, and I can't forget my double-sided tape runner--It is definitely my most beloved tool!

Here was the process...

The "Work Zone"

I embossed all of the name tags and here I started writing out their messages. (This one was for my priest.)

Some of the goodies to go inside! (I also included a nice package of hot chocolate and a piece of Paximathia aka.. biscotti.) As a good friend of mine says, Hello, Candy Suicide!

The bag once filled!

Starting to stack up! (I did about 30 of them.)

Up-close - For Chris

Merry Christmas, George!

Last but not least, all lined up and ready to go! As you can see, I did some with ribbon and some without. I think they both turned out well. (I was short on ribbon and couldn't bear to face the Christmas crowds at Michael's again to replenish my stock. I don't think anyone minded :) )
And there you have it, Christmas Treats 2009!

NOW.. How about using this design as for inspiration for Easter/Spring treat bags?
Well, in case you need a little help, I did I little polyvoring (is that even a word?!) for you..
What about keeping the same idea but swapping out the papers and stamp for these...

Just some ideas to help get your creative juices flowing!
