His Eminence, Metropolitan Isaiah!

Funny thing... last night a few ladies and I were at Presvytera Athanasia Papademetriou's home and she mentioned that all during college that she would wake up at 5am, have a cup of coffee, and start doing her homework. I said to myself, "Wow, don't I wish I could do that!" I usually aim for getting up between 6 and 7am but 5am would just be amazing (but yet it seems impossible!) Well, what do you know, this morning I woke up on my own at 4:57am! Gosh! Today is a long day for me so hopefully I don't pay for it later, but what a coincidence!

At any rate, aside from being a full day academically, the big news for today is that my Metropolitan, Isaiah, is here in Boston for the next few days and all of his seminarians are having dinner with him tonight. What a blessing! This evening we will all be making our way down to Durgin Park at Faneuil Hall for a dinner out on the town. Although I have never been there, apparently DP is known for their Boston Baked Beans and for beautifully aged steak. I shall certainly provide a review when I get back. :)

More seriously though, I am excited that His Eminence will be here and that we have a small opportunity to spend some time with him! Glory to God! He is such a wonderful man!!

Here is a picture I really love of His Eminence that I took last summer in Boulder, CO.

I hope you have a wonderful time! It is very nice that Metropolitan Isaiah spends time with all his children at the seminary. What a great way to form a special bond with him. ENJOY! About waking up at 5 in the morning - I used to do that but not now. I go to bed too late for that! Maybe one day!
