This the Eve of Thanksgiving

I cannot begin to express to you how thankful I am for the life-giving sacrament of confession.

Once again this evening, I was able to draw near to the cross of Christ as I humbly admitted my sin to Him in the presence of my spiritual father.

Confession is, without a doubt, the most humbling event I've ever encountered in my life. Yet, in that very humility and self-reduction, we are made worthy of abundant mercy, forgiveness, love, and ultimately healing.

In the end, it isn't ultmately about the sin, but about the tilling our soul that occurs in confession that allows new life to spring forth.

Glory to God for His overflowing love for us, the broken vessels that we are!

On this the Eve of Thanksgiving, I have so very much to be thankful for. My lips are laden with the many blessings I have to give thanks for.
